Friday Five

Happy Friday! The Holiday weekend is almost here...only about 4.5 hours to go the Weekend!

I am linking up with  Courtney, Mar, and Cynthia for the Friday Five. And the topic is Fitness... now, I tried my hardest to stretch out my brain and think of only Fitness things... And here are 5 Fitness things that I'm excited for this week.

1. Running is finally getting back to double digit miles! After Marathon training, I started to miss long runs, and after a long break. Sunday, the schedule calls for 11 miles.

2. This shorts!

I got them two weeks ago and have only worn them twice. they are so comfy and light! I secretly think they make me faster! My niece, aka, the Royal Baby, thinks this is her summer cape and was upset with me when I took it off her back. She is now letting me borrow them, until she needs it again to be the Queen!

3. The 10K this weekend! I haven't done a 10K in almost a year. My calves were bothering me last night, so my only goal is to run the entire thing, without any calves issues. Anybody has any ideas on why calves hurt? I'm afraid to look it up on Google.

4. Reading Running, A Love Story by Jen Miller.

5. Tacos- What ? Are you going to tell me Tacos don't count for fitness! Well, my tacos do!

  1. I am supposed to do double digits tomorrow AND Sunday. Two 10 milers. But my feet have been doing so well and I'm still sort of easing back so I am not sure if I should actually DO two 10 milers. I am thinking 2 eight milers would be just fine...

  2. I am dreading doing double digits in this heat!
I've never had calf pain before but the other day I started to feel it ad in my left calf. I'm just thinking it could need more stretching. It can't be from overworking since I have been running more than 3 miles at a time. Hope yours start to feel better.

  6. I love it when I get back into double digit miles. I don't think I'll hit that mark again for another couple of weeks since our next long run is focused on running up a freakin' mountain. Those shorts are pretty fly! I'm not surprised they make a great regal cape too.
