Ahh!! It's done, gifts have been wrapped and unwrapped. Food has been cooked and eaten and it was all wonderful! Another Christmas season is almost over, and it leaves a sense of family, happiness and joy. Here are a few highlights of the Christmas weekend. Wednesday, December 23rd, 2015 I went to my son's Holiday Party, it was nice. My son gave his teacher the card and gift card that was her holiday present. We quickly left and headed to pick up the last things we needed at Wegmans. It was packed. We got a cookie. We went home. Our family trip to Longwood had a few glitches, but we went, we saw the beautiful green house. We only wish that it was not raining the whole time we were there! We were completely soaked, but it was wonderful to see my son taking pictures of everything he could find and my niece enjoyed seeing the water. My son took this picture Thursday, December 24, 2015 My brothers invited me and Roger to try out the Sushi place in K...

Surviving Christmas

For at least the last 10 years Christmas seems to get more and more stressful every year. The list of things to do, the lists of things to make, the things to get, the things to have perfect just get longer and longer and everything else just gets more stressful! There have been nights of me shopping for everything possible, nights of staying up very late wrapping the presents perfectly, long days of standing on my feet making cookies that got tossed. It went a little better, but forgot to get my son his Santa presents... and ended up at Build A Bear for an emergency trip. I'm not a bad mom, just a mom who has to clean up after my son... and I KNOW that he doesn't need more toys, but wanted him to have something to open on Christmas day. This year, I want to get more organized, prioritize and conquer all my goals, taking it all day by day.... since I already forgot to give m...

All I want for Christmas

Christmas Wish list I just finished putting together the Christmas list for my family. We have grown up a lot in the last 5 years and have made our list about things that we can / will use; which prevents wasting money for all of us and hoarding for others. Last year somebody even asked for a bottle of Ketchup, it was a joke but it ended up being used. In other years I have asked for things that I don’t use. For some reason that I don’t understand now, I asked for a deep fryer and a food processor one year. I lost the fryer on my divorce, but I’m glad to not have the fryer anymore. Other years I asked for work out leggings and I got an awesome pair of bright pink capris leggings. A color I would have never bought for myself, but that I love. Last year I didn’t ask for many things, I asked for a DVD/CD combo of my favorite Artist, Enrique Bunbury and a few movies. I was fortunate to get a pair of super awesome Adidas Hiking sneakers, an iPad mini and socks. Those sneakers wer...
