Happy Monday! How are you today? I hope you had a fantastic weekend.  First thing first, I keep myself accountable by telling you about my workouts Workouts  Tuesday: 5 easy tempo miles with the Beer Runners Wednesday: weights and 4 easy miles Friday: 11 miles long run, with intervals  On Tuesday , I had a coffee standoff with a coworker... he drank the last of MY coffee and now I'm refusing to buy more to share with him. See, it's weird. My office doesn't provide us with coffee, but I need coffee to function, so I brought my coffee pot, my filters and buy my coffee to make there. I share it with one of my co-workers, but this past Tuesday he took the very last of it... it feels to me that he stole my coffee, so I'm not buying anymore coffee for the office, at least for now. That sounds fair, right?  Later that Tuesday, I was feeling frustrated because of my rush to finish my file audits, so running 5 tempo miles with the beer runners felt really good. I

Happy Friday! How is your Friday going? I'm Linking up with the Friday five 2.0 ladies at  Fairytales and Fitness  and  Running on Happy  . This week was busy, but it's done and weekend adventures are almost here. Today I'm sharing 5 random things I forgot this week  1. Audits, Audits, Audits!! Two weeks ago, I realized the list of monthly audits had not arrived, and worried about missing the email with the request, then I forgot to ask about them...  Monday morning, an urgent email came, asking to turn in 22 file audits by the next day at noon. I turned in 16, and 6 were 25 minutes late. I rewarded myself with a macchiato after work.  2. Forgotten only Twice ... so Far - On Tuesday, Roger agreed to drive my son to school in the morning, allowing my boy to sleep in one extra hour. I reminded them both about my son's glasses, telling my son it was 100% his responsibility to take them. At 9:10 am, I got the message from Roger.  My son forgot to take

Baltimore Marathon Relay - Recap

Image
This is going to be a long recap, because it was a great experience that needs explained in detail. Picture by Lacey Race Details Free goodies : woman's cut, short sleeve tech shirt. Goodies at the finish line and finisher medal Weather : Cool conditions at start of the marathon, around 55 F, by the time I started running it was about 72 F and sunny. What I wore: Black shorts, black tank top, compression socks and a cap. I regretted the long compression socks when I was running, because I got really warm. The Invitation Some time in July, I got a message from Meranda, asking if I would be interested in doing a marathon relay with her and a few other bloggers. I looked at my calendar and immediately replied YES! Please! put me down for it! I had briefly met Meranda at the Hershey 10K, but from reading her blog, I knew she would make an amazing teammate, and I was honored to be invited to run with her.   Planning Logistics When I have races schedule on weekends ba

Weekly Wrap - Baltimore Weekend

Happy Monday! I like Mondays, especially after a fantastic weekend. Workouts Monday: 3 easy miles and weights Thursday : 5 miles with Fleet Feet Saturday : 7.60 Marathon Relay Sunday : 5 Easy miles  On Monday I paced Roger for 3 easy miles. I say paced, because my easy speed, is his tempo pace. He tried to go faster, and I had to bring him back. It was a good shake out run, and it felt good. I wear a lot of black, but when fall rolls around, I dig out all my colors because I need to be seen.  On Tuesday, the google doodle was Selena!! I have loved Selena since I was 12, so it was very special to watch the video that came with the doodle.  On Thursday I went to run with the Fleet Feet group, I was only supposed to do 4 miles, but the temperature was great and the pace was going good, so I went with the group and did 5 miles.  After Fleet Feet, I stopped at Target to pick up a couple of things for Christmas. My brother asked for an iPhone charger adapter, wh

Happy Friday!! How is your day going ? I'm Linking up with the Friday five 2.0 ladies at  Fairytales and Fitness  and  Running on Happy .   Today lots of exciting things are happening! Later today I will be meeting Meranda , Megan to drive to Baltimore, and once we are in Baltimore, we are meeting Heather . Also, today is the release for Enrique Bunbury's new album.   I have been looking forward to this weekend for a long time, so here are 5 things I really excited for.   1. Meeting other Bloggers. Like really really meeting them. I met Megan last year, and we have met up a few times, I met Meranda at the Hershey 10K finish line, it was super brief and we only talked for a few seconds. I have never met Heather.   2. Running in a Relay Team - This is the first time that I will be doing a team run, and I'm really excited to run with my team mates. I'm not worried about any of the time, my only goal is to experience the race with them, and have fun. 3. R

Happy Monday! what a week it was! Looking back, it feels like the last week lasted 2 whole weeks.       Workouts Tuesday: 5 miles Wednesday: 3 easy miles Sunday : Hershey Half Marathon   On Monday we woke up to heavy rain, and our annual trip to the corn maze cancelled , Cherry Crest Corn Maze was closed that day, due to all the rain we were getting. We were all disappointed, but we couldn't break into the Corn Maze. We took the kids to the mall to run out the energy, they loved running around!       On Tuesday I joined the Harrisburg Beer Runners for a 5 mile run. It was a slow one, I ran with a person who had never done the run before, and I felt bad leaving her behind.       Wednesday our office had it's semi-annual job fair. Those days are always busy ones at the office, I help out with the breakfast monitoring, and it is exhausting to be so nice for 3 hours straight! That, plus all the people being loud, it makes for a very tiring day. So, I did
