Weekly Wrap: VB RnR and BIH Training Weekly Wrap #9

Good Morning world! How is everybody doing today? I hope you are having a great week of training, summer and life.

I'm linking up with Holly and Tricia for the Weekly Wrap post. and Let me say, Happy Birthday to the Weekly Wrap!

Also linking up with Wendy for the Running Treasure Hunt!

This week was a little exhausting! We did lots of stuff, and I'm still tired.

Training
Tuesday- 4 temp Miles
Wednesday - Zumba with Denise, Speed work and track exercises 1.5 miles
Thursday - 3 tempo miles
Sunday - 10 Miles long run

I was not in a good mood on Tuesday... and almost scrapped the whole running thing, but I shook it off and went for 4 miles in Camp Hill.

Wednesday after Zumba, I accidentally was all pinked out before going for sprints and track exercises.

Roger injured himself half way through our sprint work out, and we called it a night. I was 6 sprints short.

Super early Thursday Morning run went ok.

My hair was looking good.... can I say it now.... I woke up like this! Really, I just rolled out and put on shoes and sunscreen!

I was hungry the rest of the day, nothing I ate was shaking off the hunger.

We headed to NJ for a couple of days at the beach and an aikido Seminar, my son loved all of it!

Friday we watched some of the Olympics Opening Ceremony. I loved all the music... short story, back in 2014 my job was seriously stressing me out, and my way of dealing with all of it, in addition to running, going to Zumba and yoga, was listening to a lot of Brazilian music.

This song used to make me calm and happy

And this was my running Anthem !

Anyway... back to weekly wrap.

Saturday we went to the Cochranville Carnival in Chester County, which we have been going to for YEARS! The kids had a lot of fun!

Sunday's long run was just that... long. I finished the run on the dark.

And for Wendy's Running Treasure Hunt, I ran into two small fawns, and found money on my run! If you listen to Another Mother Runner Podcast, you know that the Mother Runners are always looking for change or money on their runs. It's pretty funny! this was the first time I've found any money on my run.

I'm now $ 0.02 richer!

Here is a blurry picture of the fawns... I was trying to not spook them, and take a picture at the same time.

I hope your weeks are off to a great start with lots of coffee, good rest and great runs!
Have you found money on your runs before?
Have you been to local Carnivals this summer?
Anybody watching the Olympics?
Other than running, what do you do when stressed out at life or work?

  2. We went to a carnival in Hummelstown this weekend! Is the Cochranville one worth the drive? I forgot about the Scavenger Hunt. I think I will go do that now. It will give my 6 miler a purpose.

I do love your pink outfit and you are SO GOOD about sunscreen!

Thanks! I was feeling very pink lady! I'm starting to think that the sunscreen is not doing anything, I'm really tan right now!

  5. I once found $20 during a race! It paid for nearly half of my race fee, so that was a nice perk. =) I love Brasilian music, too. It's so festive!

  7. I never find money on my runs! I think I'm not even paying attention to what is on the ground most times and I really should cause I almost stepped on a snake this past week. It was dead but it could have been alive! Eeek! Thanks for your support of the WW!

  11. Thank you Karen,

it's actually a very simple song... the tittle means "She is very drunk and very crazy" and most of the songs just says "She likes to party, she likes to have fun, she is very drunk and very crazy!". The rhythm is amazing !

Roger has a brand new injury, he hurt his hamstring doing sprints.

Drinks are a great way to distress... makes you realize that some things are really not that important!
