Friday Five 2.0 - Christmas Coutdown

Happy Friday! How was your week?

I'm linking up with Running on Happy & Fairytales and Fitness  for the Friday Five 2.0.

Christmas is so close that I can almost smell the oranges and peanuts!! Yes, for me Christmas smells of oranges and clementines, all together in a bag with peanuts.

Today I have 5 things random things  that I'm looking forward to or got me through this week

1. Going to the Movies with my brothers this weekend- My brothers and I are going to see Star Wars, The Rogue One this weekend. I'm always excited to spend time with my brothers.

Our Star Wars Movie Date last year

2. Wrapping all the presents! We are supposed to get snow overnight, and it's cold... that makes it perfect to wrap gifts and clean out the closet.

3. Madonna Carpool Karaoke- I love this James Corden Series ! I sang along with Music, that's my favorite Madonna song! I used to dance that song in college until they kicked me out of the party.

4. Suzy's Gift Guide- there is all sorts of Gift Guides for people out there, but this one from Suzy is the most perfect one! This gave me the idea of what to give my son's teacher.

5. OmG!!! That's all I have.... Wait... let me dig deep..... Coffee!! I love coffee and will be having massive amounts of coffee today and this weekend. Hopefully with a pastry!

Have an awesome weekend!!

Did you wrap your presents yet?
Are you waiting to throw them all in gift bags and call it a day?
What is your favorite Madonna song?
Going to see the Rogue one? Or are you lucky like Heather and already saw it?
What does Christmas smell like for you?

And my Christmas song for the day...

  1. Ha ha ha! Omg, thanks for the shout-out! I'm curious to know exactly which gift you chose for your son's teacher..... heh heh! Enjoy the snow, if you can. Ours is still lingering around and I feel like I haven't run outside in months! GAH. But yeah, I did get lots of wrapping done while being stuck inside.

    1. I'm thinking a bottle of wine or a bottle of rum, whatever I can grab at the liquor store that morning. I'm helping out, so it's not like I will be sending it to school with my son.

I will enjoy the snow for about 5 minutes, then will be dying to get out! I can't deal with being inside too long.

  2. Have fun at the movies! I did not know we were supposed to get snow. I wanted to run "longish" tomorrow. I will check the forecast...

Christmas smells like balsam and fir to me! But mostly balsam. Whenever I smell it, I think CHRISTMAS!

I think your son's teacher would LOVE a bottle of wine. I mean, is there anyone who doesn't love a bottle of wine????

I freaking loved Madonna in HS and college. I would watch her tours all the time. My favorite songs... omg so hard to pick. I will pick some lesser known ones that I really like: Love Profusion, Bye Bye Baby, and Dear Jessie. Listen to them!

    2. The snow is coming tonight, and it's supposed to clear by tomorrow nightish. We are ready to make pancakes and coffee.

Bottle of wine it will be then! I'm thinking a chianti or a red... we shall see what the liquor store has.

I'll check out those songs, thanks for the rec!

  5. Christmas to me smells like cinnamon rolls, fresh from the oven & peppermint.

Yeah, I have bought no presents for anyone. Which, I think is okay. My parents want Netflix & if my brother would text me back I would know if I need to organize that or if he will, but TBD I guess? But I'm definitely the shove it all into a bag type! Haha.

  9. I love everything Madonna. She's a flippin' musical genius and an icon. I don't do a lot of gift wrapping these days...the kids want gift cards (so I wrap those in tiny boxes), but it's not as fun as it used to be when they got real presents. Icky weather on tap for Iowa...so lots of chai latte's on my roster ;-)

We'll see Rogue One, but later, when it's not so crowded. My husband hates crowds. Although when he was much younger, he would have waited on those lines.

Gift bags all the way . . . if that even happens. :)

    1. The movie wasn't too crowded when we went, maybe it was the ice storm that kept everbody away!
