Weekly Wrap 04.02.17

Good Morning!! Happy April!

I'm  linking up with Holly and Tricia this week for the weekly wrap.

This week was mostly recovery. I've been having pain on both of my shins, more painful on the right side.

Workouts:
Tuesday: Hill repeats and warm up. 2 miles and Cardio Funk
Wednesday: Zumba and weights
Friday: 2 easy miles
Sunday: 2 easy miles and weights

My icepack was attached to my shins this week. It seemed the pain jumped from one side to the other all week. This caused me to have no motivation to run at all. 2 miles felt impossible and too painful.

Still, some hills were ran on Tuesday

And I have finally upgraded to having real weights in my bar!! They are tiny, but it's an improvement for me!

In other news. Work has been busy, we are hiring for a case manager job at our office, so we have had multiple interviews. One question that is starting to annoy me is this one : How do you organize your day? and it's bugging me, because 5 out of 6 interviewees have given us the same response: Lists. Then I started thinking about it, and realized I organize my days in 3 Calendars! how is it possible for somebody to have so many calendars? 1. is for all family activities. 2 is for School and workouts and 3 is all work.

Also, last one. I went for a haircut on Friday, and I couldn't wait to get the hair off my head. But by the time my hairdresser was done, I kept telling myself over and over, "hair grows back, hair grows back, hair grows back". It's about 1 inch shorter than I wanted.

Tell me about you!!

  1. Aww... I think the haircut looks really cute! And if it grows fast, you'll have that extra inch in no time :) I hope your shins feel better this week.

  2. Oh crap! That's so frustrating about your shins!!! I've never had them, but I heard icing them and stretching your calves is the best defense. I love your hair, and yes it grows back but yours doesn't need to! It looks cute and fresh. I cut bangs a few weeks ago and they're a bit of a pain but they're also fun too. It's good to change things up a bit.

  3. UGH, my hair right now is so LONG, like past my boobs, and all I want to do is chop it all off, but I'm waiting until after the wedding so I can do something cool with it. But I always get sad once it's gone because then I can't braid it, which is my go-to lazy style. But I'm hoping to have enough to donate to Locks of Love & still have a normal-ish hair cut, which I think I can manage.

My goal HM is finally this month, just a few weeks away & I am getting anxious. Some days I am so confident I'll reach my goal, other days I am not. AH!

  6. I like your hair! But 1 inch.. is that a,month of growing? It will be your perfect length before you know it. Oh man I had shin splints a long time ago. I think I just rested a couple days and they went away. Does it hurt tonzumba?

    1. I still scare myself when I catch myself in the mirror. By it'll grow

Yes, the shins hurt during Zumba. I don't jump because that causes more pain, I almost left class last week, bc the right shin was in so much pain. I took it super easy for days after

  7. Your haircut looks great! But I get it. I had a haircut this week and she cut it just a smidge shorter than I wanted. IT.WILL.GROW. (Repeat!) I'm sorry to hear about your shin splints. It's rare that I get them -- maybe sometimes after a downhill race? A few days rest may be just the thing you need. Thanks for linking, Ana!
