Random annoyances
Tuesday, I was up extra early, and was on track to arrive 10 minutes early to work. Until something felt funny with my car. I was all too familiar with the wonky car feeling... I pulled over and started cursing when I saw a flat tire. After a long wait, a dent next to my tire and a failed attempt at taking off my tire, my car was up on the tow truck and off to the mechanic. I almost lost my cool and started crying out of frustration... but blasted the music on my headphones and kept my head up. I let the guy at Jack Williams have it, this was my 3rd flat in 2 months, and I got my tires there... they fixed my tire for free.

My car is dirty... don't judge me... I don't make time to wash it.
I posted briefly on Friday that I was busy with audits and that I would get tacos after finishing them, but I was delirious of hunger half way through the audits, that I kept making mistakes. I stopped and went for my tacos, I felt more ready to handle audits after eating.

For 1 week every January, Harrisburg hosts the annual Pennsylvania Farm Show. Saturday, the River Runners Group (our local running group) did a run at the local park close by, and then after, head over to the Farm Show for milkshakes. I met my running buddy Adriane there, we did our 3 mile loop and then decided we would run to the Farm Show. This is where I accidentally ran 3 more miles than planned. I ran to and from the Farm Show... because Adriane needed more miles, she is training for a 100K.

The Milkshakes were delicious! I was glad I was there with friends, I split up a milkshake with another runner, and a pretzel breakfast wrap with egg and ham with Adriane. We also shared a blooming onion with the group.

Loving
My favorite Zumba instructors from Art in Motion Fitness have found a space to do a weekly Sunday Zumba class! So this past weekend, I joined for some good butt shaking and lots of sweaty dancing. I had to much fun! It was good to be back with my zumba buddies again!

Then off to the long run.... I was hungry for most of the 8 miles.  So when I went to the Grocery store, I picked up some chicken wings and chicken tenders. They were delicious! I'm craving them, just thinking about them now.

  1. Oh. I feel your frustration with the flat tires! I'd be so mad! I haven't had to have my vehicle towed in a long time. Maybe not even ever. I've locked my keys in my car too many times to count though. My favourite wings are hot wings and my favourite dip is honey mustard!

    1. Hot wings are delicious! I could eat chicken dripping in buffalo sauce all the time!

Locking keys inside is no fun at all!!

  2. I do remember your flat tire last month! So frustrating for you. Do they know what is causing these flats?
So glad your zumba found a new place!

    1. The man at the shop had the nerve to say to me "I don't know how you drive or where you are driving". So, I gave him the "Don't blame the victim answer... this are the tires you all sold me, and my driving hasn't changed in the time I've had them".

    1. I know!! I am so excited for zumba!

I told the mechanic that I would be back in a month... and that I expected them to fix my tire.

  4. What the heck is going on with your tires? Did they give you a reason that this keeps happening? Luckily I have never run out of gas or had a flat tire. I do need new tires though. I am so glad your Zumba instructors found a space! You must be so happy. I am impressed you ran 8 miles AND did Zimbabwe in one day!

    1. The mechanic tried to blame the flat tires on me, and said to me that it must be my driving.. I said "no, my driving hasn't changed. It's your tires". I was so angry he tried to blame it on me!

I am so happy and excited for zumba! Roger said that I was crazy for doing the 8 miles and zumba, but I felt fine, only hungry.

  6. OMG I am so craving a milkshake now!!!

A couple years ago I got a flat in all four tires within 2 or 3 weeks of each other. It was insane! Like I was driving through construction without knowing it and getting nails in my tires! I'm sorry you had car issues this week; it's always so frustrating and inconvenient!

  7. I'm glad they fixed your tire for free!!!! The last time I got towed was a couple of years ago. I actually got towed from the place I was living! At that apartment complex Adam and I were given 1 dedicated parking spot and then the other person had to park in a guest parking spot. Their rule was that a car could only be parked in a guest spot for 48 consecutive hours or it would be towed. It was fine if you drove out of the spot, drove around the parking lot and went back into the spot --- but you couldn't stay there for more than 48 hours. Such a silly rule. Well I exceeded the 48 hour mark one long weekend ... and they towed me. I am happy to not live there anymore!

    1. Florida is very touchy about parking! That is a very silly rule! who counted the 48 hours? were your neighbors like super nosy? Did you have to pay to get your car back?

When Roger lived in Fort Lauderdale, his car was towed when he moved in to a new apartment by the beach. The neighbors didn't know that he was new, and had his car towed, because they had never seen it before.

  8. I love how you accidentally ran 3 extra miles. A true runner! :) My last car was horrible about flat tires. I know it had nothing to do with THAT car, but I kept picking up nails and screws. (Like you can see those!) It was so frustrating. Seven years later, I haven't done that in this car. Hmmm..now explain that? My favorite shake is called Triple Caramel. Enough said. Thanks for linking, Ana!
