Marathon Traing Numbers & Quaterly Review

Thank you to those of you who have taken the time to comment on my last post! I have learned so much about perseverance and motivation from each and all of you! I am still not feeling 100%, I felt like my lugs were going to pop during zumba last night, but at least I'm up and moving! Slowly recovering from the evil upper respiratory virus from hell!

Last week I was feeling a little bit down because I haven't run the races that were in my plans so far this year and it made me feel sad, so I sat down and reviewed numbers, because sometimes numbers can make me feel better.

January
Total Miles 72
Races - 1

February
Total Miles - 89
Races - 0

March
Total miles 85
Races- 1

So far for this Quarter, I have 246 miles. Which is pretty good if you ask me! Considering my goal for the year is to run 600 miles, and I'm almost half way there! I might have missed two races, but 5K season is upon us! and I have my first ever marathon coming up in 18 days!

I also have to remind myself that I have run in conditions that before seemed impossible, snow, rain, freezing cold temperatures, 8 miles on a treadmill!

So from this point forward the plan is to keep moving and keep running! because I plan to run that Marathon and enjoy it! Now I know I said no more sulking! this is the last!!

  2. So sorry to hear that you're not feeling 100% yet, but glad to hear you are making progress! Zumba is no joke - it is one INSANE cardio workout. I know that feeling of the lungs wanting to explode! Congratulations on hitting 246 miles so far for the quarter. That is fantastic! You realize that extrapolates to almost 1,000 miles for the year, yes?!?!?

  10. Thank you Emily! Zumba is one awesome work out! I did the math a few times, because I thought it was wrong, but yes, if I keep up with the running as I have, I will hit 1,000 miles this year. This is exciting, but I want to keep myself leveled and not get too ahead of myself.
