BIH Half Training Last Week

Good Morning Internet!

How are you today? I hope you are having an awesome morning!

Thank you  Holly and Tricia for hosting the Weekly Wrap post! Linking up with these super runner ladies today.

Work outs
Monday : 2 mile Hike
Tuesday : 2 easy miles in the Morning
Thursday: 2 miles easy run and track exercises and weights
Friday: Bird In Hand 5K
Saturday: Bird In Hand Half Marathon

This past weekend I completed the Bird In Hand Fire Company Challenge,  the 5K on Friday and The Half Marathon on Saturday Morning. I'm still tired and starting to feel hungry again, but it got done!

Thanks to all of you who looked at my pictures and left messages on my Intagram! It was a busy week, and I loaded your feeds with hot air balloons and people running, but you still took the time to double tap on my picture, Thank you!

I took it easy and slow with the last of training, because I started having posterior Shin splints on my left leg. My left leg has not been on agreement with me this training season.

On Friday I headed out to the 5K, Roger was supposed to come with me, but decided at the last minute he wasn't coming. I was upset about it, but decided not to spend too much energy on it, because I had to focus on the 5K and the Half on Saturday.

I will do a Race Recap for the 5K and the Half, because I don't want to make this Weekly Wrap a super long post. Spoiler Alert: it was really HOT!

I'll leave you with a few pictures of the 5K and the Half Marathon.

On Sunday I got up early to go cheer some friends at the Harrisburg Half Marathon, it was an amazing experience! I never realized how hard it was to make a sign for a Half Marathon! I picked a spot where I could walk around to see the race at 4 different points, mile 2, mile 6, mile 12 and mile 13.

  2. Great job getting the race done with the hot weather! It looks beautiful. The last time I cheered at a race was the Marine Corps Marathon 2 years ago. I'm planning on going down to cheer again this year.

    1. Yes! Everybody around me thought I was crazy, but I wanted to do it since last year. It was fun! I only regret going too slow on the 5K.

  9. Congratulations! I've never done a challenge like that. It's so cool they had hot air balloons at the race. I've actually never spectated at a half or full marathon, just 5ks. I'm looking forward to your recap. Thanks for linking, Ana!
