Friday Five

Happy Donut day!! sadly, I'm not having any of those donuts right now, those were our Christmas Donuts... but it's still early in the morning!

I am linking up with  Courtney, Mar, and Cynthia for the Friday Five. The subject is fitness, but I can't think of 5 Fitness things... BAD RUNNING BLOGGER!!

Here are 5 Things that are making me happy this week.

1. I signed up for the Virginia Beach Rock and Roll Half Marathon. Rock and Roll was having a huge sale for Global running day, and I couldn't turn down the race for the sale price!!

2. My younger sister (Sister #4) is running her first Half Marathon in September!! I am so excited for her! I'm excited for her training, to help her train, and to see her meet this goal!

3. At noon today my baby (who is now 7), will be done with First Grade.

4. This week I'm back to structured training. I had really missed the long runs, and I'm very much looking forward to them! I'm training for the Virginia Beach Rock 'n Roll Half and the Bird In Hand Half, both in September.

5. This has had me laughing all week... I need to buy new work socks, but this got me through this week.

  2. RnR VA beach is one of my favorite races! Unfortunately I won't be going this year because I want to use that time for another race that has been on my bucket list for a while. That weekend seems to be a popular one for races. My sister will be at RnR VA Beach though. Just know it will be very hot and humid!

  7. That is exciting your sister will run a half! Will you be able to run along with her race day?
VA beach should be a fun one, I have read many posts over the years and all the feedback has been pretty goood! That is usually the weekend before school starts for me and my hubby's birthday so I don't think it is one I will ever try to run.

  8. Virginia Beach is a fun place to race! Have you done any events there before? How exciting that your sister is doing her first half! Are you going to run the event with her?

I totally had a donut on Friday morning. Which I justified because I needed to eat a later lunch than usual because I was doing a race that started at 7pm.
