Weekly Wrap Oct 23, 2016

Hello world! how are you today? I hope you had an awesome weekend.

Thank you  Holly and Tricia for hosting the Weekly Wrap post! Linking up with these super awesome ladies today.

We are flying free this week, no specific training just fun running.

Monday- Zumba at the Y (it was awful)
Thursday- 3.5 miles with the Fleet Feet Group
Friday- 3 mile sprints and weights
Sunday- 4 Miles at Race Pace

I feel no motivation to run right now. I am embracing the lazy, and on the same note, stressing about being lazy. I have two 5ks in November, and looking at 2 more.

This week was busy at work, but I'm anxiously waiting for the monthly reports, which are now two weeks late. That is  also starting to stress me out.

Thursday I went back to the Fleet Feet running group, it was so good to be back. I caught up with most on their running plans. My favorite thing about the group, is talking about race plans without the judgment... you know, like when family/friends will ask ... "but you just ran a half marathon... why more?"

Friday when I got home from work, I found this waiting for me:

Rock 'n Roll races are just the races that keep on giving! I got this for completing 2 Rock 'n Roll races.

On Saturday we went to the Harry Potter festival in Chestnut Hill Pa. I loved it! I'll share more about it in a separate post, but will leave you with a few pictures.

This were the most amazing festival burgers I have had!!

On Sunday I enjoyed some fall running... which is like regular running, except there is leave piles to avoid all over the place.

How was your weekend?
How are the leave piles where you live?
Ready for Trick or treat?
How do you stay motivated to run without races?
Any holiday running coming up for you?

  1. I have to admit that if I don't have any races on tap, I sometimes embrace the lazy and just run for fun :) That sucks that the zumba class wasn't good :( The Harry Potter festival looks like so much fun!

    1. I don't even know what to do with myself... I should sign up for a race, or i'll end up sitting home and not running.

The Harry Potter Fest was amazing!

  2. It looks like you had a good week! You don't seem that lazy to me, but maybe it's just how you've been feeling lately.

    1. Thanks! When I wrote the post I was laying on the couch with zero energy to move anything other than my fingers, so it was more of a moment feeling.

  3. Enjoy the lazies. It's good to embrace them every so often. Can't wait for the Harry Potter recap. :)

  4. Why did Zumba suck? Where did you run on Sunday? I ran along the yellow breeches- McCormick Rd. Did you ever run there? I park at Lower Allen Park. You are a racing MACHINE!!! (Said without judgement) ;)

    1. I ran in Camp Hill, and I was going to text you and ask where you were running, because I had no energy to leave the couch, but I didn't leave the house until 12:30 and thought it might be late.

The zumba was more of a Pop music hour, and the instructor was very jumpy. I don't like overly jumpy zumba... I need the right amount of jumpy. Technically her class could not be consider zumba, because she only did 1 cumbia song.

I know you don't mean judgment. I had a secret goal of number of races, but I have not being scheduling any races.

    2. Hmmmm I think I left at like 11:30 or Noon but I sometimes start late so text if you're not sure. You never know. ;)

      Who was the instructor???

  6. Umm, I'm a little afraid to admit, not sure if I'll pass out candy for Halloween or just turn all the lights off and watch TV & drink wine in the dark because I don't want to deal with being bothered every 4 seconds by a kid who wants candy. Like, I'm such a Grinch.

    1. No shame on admitting that at all! If I didn't have a kid, I would be under a blanket watching TV... which I probably will, unless his Dad agrees to a time.

  7. Humm I wonder if I'll get a double beat medal from Rock n Roll? I did Nola and Nashville this year so we will see, fingers crossed! I love Halloween and we went to a haunted house while I was in Nola. Next weekend I'll race there and it is so much fun to see just what all people dress up like down there! Thanks for linking up!

  8. Zumba at the Y makes me think of yoga at the park district. Not good.

  9. In our city, you rake your leaves into a big pile at the curb and they come along and vacuum them up. Well, on today's run -- boy did I dodge those piles. But, I really wanted to play in them and mess them all up! I wouldn't stress over being lazy. You'll be right back at it, I'm sure. Thanks for linking, Ana!
