Weekly Wrap 6.4.17

Happy Monday!! How was your weekend!

I'm  linking up with Mary Beth,  Holly and Tricia this week for the Weekly Wrap.

Workouts
Friday- Easy 3 morning miles and weights
Saturday- Lancaster Red Rose Run ( 5 miles )
Sunday - 8 easy long miles

This week I didn't make time to do very much. My son was with me for most of the week, and then going off with his Dad for a whole week and a half; and I needed to spend all my quality time with my kid. He has officially finished 2nd grade!

I was up early on Friday for a morning run, I find myself more ready for those when I talk myself into them from the night before, and then laying out my clothes. If I lay out my clothes for a run, then the run has to get done, or the clothes will get sad. Perfect logic!

3 easy miles in my hood were done before 7!

Later that day, I had to do some running drills and sprints. The day was perfect and beautiful! After a stressful audit day at the office, I need an easy run.

On Saturday we headed to Lancaster for the Red Rose 5 miler. I ran into some river runners right after the race and we got to pictures !

After that, we walked around Downtown Lancaster and the Central Market. So many things have changed in Lancaster since we last were there! We found at least 6 different coffee shops, all within 2 blocks of each other! and we stopped and had coffee at 3 of them!

On Sunday we had an 8 long slow miler... at mile 1, I wanted to do only 3. At mile 3, I talked myself down to 6, then at mile 5, I figured there was only 3 more to do and went for it.

This is going to be another busy week, I have plans for 6 of the next 7 days! and I'm busy at work with more state audits.

How was your week?
Have you ever visited your local Farmers Market ?
Do you like to make your own coffee or buy it made?
What color are your current sneakers?
If had to choose between a filled donut, what filling would you choose?

  1. Your boy is so cute! I have to give myself the pep talk of the century the night before an early morning run. I'm realizing that I'm going to have to start running in the mornings every day from now until the end of this pregnancy because otherwise I end up being too uncomfortable by the afternoon. I love your 8 mile negotiating skills! Way to get all those miles done!

    1. It does takes a big peptalk to get up early to run!

I saw you just got up early to run the other day!! Way to go!!

  2. I use the same logic you did on your 8 miler. When you can keep convincing yourself to go just. Little further it makes the entire run easier (sometimes)!

    1. I tell myself to only run the mile I'm in, but always keep the real distance in the back of my mind... but somedays, it's a struggle.

  3. Oh I have used your 8 mile logic a lot! :) I'm very busy these upcoming days too! But it is all fun stuff. Well, besides PT, piano lessons, and a funeral lol.

  5. Haha--my 8 miler that turned into a 9 miler was like your run. I had to talk myself into running the extra distance!

No filling for my donuts! I like cake donuts with chocolate frosting. Sprinkles options.

  6. I generally prefer unfilled donuts :) And I'm the same with with morning runs, it works so much better if I lay everything out the night before. I have to roll out of bed and get out there running as soon as possible so I don't talk myself out of it :)

  8. Way to talk yourself into doing the whole 8! I do the same thing when I run really early. If I have everything laid out and planned, I'm more likely to get out there.
