Weekly Wrap 6.25.17
Happy Monday!! how is your day going ?
I'm linking up with Zedaida, Holly and Tricia this week for the Weekly Wrap.
Workouts
Tuesday - 2 mile run
Wednesday - 6 easy mile run
Thursday - 2 easy miles
Saturday- 20 min weights
Sunday - 8 miles Long run
On Tuesday Morning I woke up to an awesome surprise, my niece had been born!! she arrived 2 weeks earlier than her expected arrival, but was welcome with lots of love from the family.
I was sad that I couldn't get out of work to go visit her, we had a lot of people out that day, and this made me the responsible adult in the office.
I had agreed to met my running buddy Jodi for some pictures for her ambassadorship Crazy Compressions, which I guess makes me a sock model... right?
After the photos, I did a quick mile with the Harrisburg beer runners.
Then headed to Chester County to meet my niece. I drove to Chester County hospital so fast, that most of it was a blur ! I didn't speed, our turnpike speed limit is 70, and my fastest was 75 mph.
After the drive to and back, my entire body was tired on Wednesday morning... but off to work I went. After work, my mind was set on running 6 miles, even if that meant walking a lot. On the run, I saw a truck that had the Trump/ Pence sticker and a bumper magnet that said " At last a president with balls" with an angry picture of 45th. I crossed the street, because as a Mexican woman, I am fearful of his supporters.
Friday we went off to visit the baby again.. my sister is staying at my parents, so Friday night was a reminder of what it's like to live with a newborn! She was sleeping for most of the evening, but wide awake and crying at midnight, 3 am and 5 am.
Did you know that Saturday was the social media holiday of "Sports bra Squad Day"? My friend Jodi organized a sports bra squad run, to encourage women to run on their sports bra. Unfortunately, I couldn't be there, as I was being victimized by a 5 day old baby... kidding!! I was at my parents and we didn't get back until Sunday.
I finally got to run on Sunday, and as I do most of the summer, I was out on my sports bra.
I also saw a deer run in front of me!!
That was a busy week again! but the holiday is coming and we have that weird one day off in the middle of the week!
Any surprises on your week?
Did you hear about Sports Bra Squad?
How many hours of sleep do you need each night?
What the is the bare minimum sleep you need to function ? I can "function" as in breath and sit on 4 hours.

Ooooh sleep is tricky for me. I'm a person that needs more sleep than other people but as I get older, I'm able to survive on less and less. I have to have 7 hours of sleep but I can only go a few days of that before I start feeling run down. I need 8 to feel healthy and productive. I can *survive* on 6.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you can survive on less sleep now! I feel that if I don't get 7 hours, I'm not of any use.
DeleteCongrats on the new niece! And I get what you're saying about being fearful around that truck :( I didn't hear about the sports bra squad until after my run that morning. It's a great idea.
ReplyDeleteThank you!!
DeleteIt was a fantastic idea!! I say we can run on sports bras any day, we don't have to wait for the "Holiday"
Yay for the new edition. I hope her and her mom are both healthy and happy!
ReplyDeleteThank you! They are both doing great!
DeleteCongrats on your new niece! How wonderful! Those are cute socks! I've heard of Crazy Compressions but I wear mostly ProCompression socks on my runs.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI have not work Procompressions, they are a little out of my budget, and Crazy compressions works wonderfully for me!
Your niece is such a little peanut! So cute.
ReplyDeleteI saw a guy driving a Hummer with a Trump MAGA flag flying high. That says it all...
she is the cutest little peanut!
DeleteUgh! those MAGA flags are awful!
I didn't hear about the sports bra squad! But I normally only wear my sports bra on hot summer days. I am pretty sure I ran Sat and I was in my sports bra. Yes, yes I did. I remember because I felt hungover and it was a shitty run!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if there are people who have Trump bumper stickers who wish they could take them off? I know you can take magnets off... I have a feeling if they were loud and proud about supporting trump they probably only watch Fox News and are getting brainwashed and will prob never waver in their support.
I love a good 8-9 hours sleep. If I have that, I can have a rando 5-6 hour night and still feel good.
I wonder too, but in my mind, if they supported him from the beginning, that makes them scarier! There is a guy in my neighborhood that has two Hillary for Prison stickers and one giant Info Wars sticker on his car... He scares me even more! Our neighborhood has a lot of indian families, so I hope that we will scare him into moving soon!
DeleteI have to be really excited about something to survive on 5 hours!
