Global Running Day 2017

Happy Global running day!! Like I say for all the other holidays, everyday is a running day! but today is when we are getting all the extra discounts and sales!

Today I'm brining you a few random things I don't mention, or mention often about running.

I love doing races, and I the shirts, but I hardly ever wear my race shirts.... better yet, I refuse to get rid of any of them. I have begged a race director for a race shirt, which he refused to give me, but I still begged.... knowing that shirt would just sit in my drawer unused.

My race shirt drawer... which is now 1 of 2

I know that if I trained harder, I could be faster.... but I'm not ready to commit to more training right now.

However... I get all sorts of jealous when I see others who have better race times than me. And I also get major FOMO when I see people doing races... even if I'm doing a race already that same day or moment.

I really appreciate all the things that running has brought into my life, the friends, the sights of places I never knew about, the blogging friends and social media friends (Who I count as IRL friends), the endorphins. Those don't ever get mentioned enough!

I rarely wish anybody a happy anything day, but I genuinely mean this today : Happy Global Running day!! If you are running, or not running, that never matters, what counts is that we RUN!

Are you taking advantage of my running day sales? <- I Am!!
Do you have a favorite race shirt that you don't wear? <- I'm always afraid mine will be used up by wearing them!
What is your favorite Random "Day" ? <- aside from today, I love TACO day.

  1. Happy Global Running Day! I've been a marathoner for nearly 20 years and this is the first time I've heard of it! LOL! It's great! I can't believe you have TWO DRAWERS filled with race shirts! You're hilarious. I love it.

      I have a hoarder's mentality... and I'm clingy.

  2. I have the same thoughts about the race shirts. What I have done is made blankets out of them. Project Repat has made a few blankets for me. They are warm and special to my heart. And now the shirts are not sitting in a drawer and I actually use them.
