Weekly Wrap 12.04.2016
Happy Monday! Who else is counting down to Christmas? To the end of the year?
Work outs
Monday- 3 miles fartlek
Thursday- 3.7 miles with Fleet Feet and Zumba at the Y
Sunday - 6 miles tempo
This week linking up with Holly and Tricia.
Last week, we finished decorating our Christmas Tree, and Roger finished all the other decorations. I'll tell you for about my decorations later this week.
Also, while we were decorating, my son found this empty box and wanted to make it a present, so he put a gift in there for me, and put it under the tree.
This always happens to me on Thursday, I didn't feel like going to run. AT. ALL. I wanted to go to Target and buy more presents. But I told myself that I had made promises to friends to be there. So I went. It was a good run!
Saturday was exclusively dedicated to Christmas shopping with my mom, my sisters and my niece. I spent a lot of time chasing after her at the mall, she is so full of energy! Her current favorite thing is escalators, we went up the same escalator at least 10 times.
Also, I saw this awesome mug!! I need this mug in my life.
On Sunday after running, I took my son to Target to pick up a few things we needed for presents. He kept asking me to buy him toys, and I kept telling him that this is the season we think of others, before we think of ourselves. Later that night, I was telling Roger about a jacket I wanted to buy for myself, he asked me why I didn't get it and I answered him that presents needed purchased for the rest of the family first and my son jumped in and said "Yes, this is the time we think of other's needs, before our own".... turns out, he was listening to what I said! I love my boy!
How was your week?
How is the Christmas shopping going?
What other holidays are you getting ready to celebrate? In Mexico we have December 12, for Lady Guadalupe.
Did you see the awesome time Wendy, Karen, Holly, Judy, were having in Florida? I was jealous!!

My son's gift to me *spoiler alert* it's my own nail polish. But I love that he is trying. |

I LOVE that mug. Though, to be real, I love pretty much any mug I can get my hands on.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I should listen to your Christmas lesson. So far for Christmas shopping I bought myself a new gym bag, 2 new pairs of running shoes, and a pair of wedding shoes. Oops.
Jessie, in my family, if we buy something for ourselves during December, we tell the other siblings, and offer for them to "buy" it from us to give it back as a present. So, don't feel guilty! ask a family member if they want to give that item to you as a present for Christmas.
DeleteAww... I love that gift your son prepared for you :) It's so sweet also that he repeated what you said from shopping.
ReplyDeleteHe is the sweetest boy! I love the nailpolish he picked for me!
DeleteI am glad for group runs on days I am not motivated at all. Gets me out there and I tend to have great runs. And I love that mug!
ReplyDeleteGroup runs make the world keep running, right Heather?
DeleteI need that mug because yes, I do what I want!
ReplyDeleteThat mug is fantastic!
DeleteYour son is so smart!!! What a great lesson you taught him about "This is the time we think of other's needs, before our own" - that will carry on with him for the rest of his life!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope it does! I need him to remember that Christmas is about the season, not what toys he will get.
DeleteOmg the lines were craaaazy this weekend! I grabbed a candletter at tj maxx and I was lucky I got in line wen I did because it tripled. I walked right out of michaels when I saw the ,line! We did a lot of shopping online, in Harpers ferry, and at the Market of Curiosities in carlisle.
ReplyDeleteYay your son listens!! He is learning all the important things from you.
Lines were crazy!! I was surprised of myself for waiting in line to pay for things, that is my least favorite part of shopping, the waiting in line to pay.
DeleteMarket of Curiosities? What is that?
It was a weird craft show at the carlisle expo center.
DeleteThat is so cute your son wrapped your nail polish! I love coffee mugs and that one would definitely fit into my collection. LOL. Great job on going for a Thursday run anyway -- I'll be doing that today. No other holidays but I do have a birthday this month. Thanks for linking, Ana!
