Weekly Wrap: VB RnR and BIH Training Weekly Wrap #10
Hello there! It has not been a good Morning, my computer is not cooperating this morning and it's very stressful!
I'm linking up with Holly and Tricia for the Weekly Wrap post.
Workouts
Tuesday - 4 tempo miles and 25 minutes of weights
Wednesday - 5 miles of intervals
Thursday - 3 miles tempo
Sunday - 9 miles long run
Totals: 21 miles
I had Tuesday off from work to spend time with my son, we made pancakes! They were so yummy!
My sister was in town last week, so we trained together for two days. It was pretty awesome!
Sunday we got the flat second grader ready for the first day of school!
I am not in a good mood, I haven't been in a good mood since yesterday. Yesterday I sat in the parking lot of Wegmans just listening to music trying to convince myself to get out of the car and get my groceries for 25 minutes. Whenever I have this type of meltdown, I call sister #3 and she talks me out of it, but she is in Mexico.
And I ended up buying 5 songs from iTunes in five minutes, because I wanted to find a tune to pick me up. This worked a little bit:
That's it... first of three Half Marathons is 12 days. My heels is bothering me a little bit again, and I just want to crawl in bed and watch Friends all day long.
How are the going back to school festivities around you?
What's your mood picker upper ? activity? I ran 9 miles, but didn't feel better.

Aww, hope you find a "pick me up" soon!
ReplyDeleteI've been working hard to get things done around the house before our school starts back up. I'm gonna miss my morning runs now.
Thank you Meranda!
DeleteWhen does school start for you?
I haven't been in a great mood either. I think it's cause I've been over scheduling myself and I'm exhausted!! And it's only Monday. Though it sounds like the beginning of the week was good with yummy pancakes and sisters!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get some rest Heather!
DeletePoor Ana! I am so sorry to hear you've been feeling out of it. I completely understand the feeling of wanting to stay in bed all day and watch TV. I am also sorry to hear about the heel pain. I wish you a speedy recovery both mood-wise and physically. What's helped me when I'm not feeling great is to do something nice for myself like get some extra sleep, give myself a manicure, watch my favorite movie. Journaling is also great, as is volunteering. I used to volunteer at an animal shelter and it always helped to spend time taking care of the animals because they were always so grateful for the attention, no matter what. Big hugs!!!
ReplyDeleteEmily! that is brilliant! volunteering does put a lot of things into perspective! Thank you for that suggestion! Thank you!
DeleteSorry about the computer problems and the bad mood :( It's hard when it's things that you can't really control. Music can help me with a pick me up too but sometimes time is just the only thing that works.
ReplyDeleteThank you Chaitali! Will keep pumping the music!
DeleteI've been in a funk for a while but this change in our weather really helped me a lot. I don't blog about it but work really sucks and I'm trying to make a decision about whether to stay or go. It's not an easy decision. Thankfully I'm running again and that helps me a lot.
ReplyDeleteOoh!! very intriguing Wendy! I hope you share what you decide on work!
DeleteI had waffles with whipped cream this weekend - totally channeling you!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you were in such a bad mood. Sometimes they just hit, don't they? I hope you're feeling better. Music helps me, but I find sometimes a good nap in my comfiest pajamas helps the most.
Waffles with whipped cream are divine!
DeleteThose bad moods just do hit out of nowhere! I was completely fine all day, then all of the sudden, I couldn't move from my car! Weird!
I am proud of you for making it into Wegmans. There is no song that can motivate me to do that! Where did you get the 49 cent shoes????
ReplyDeleteI really like Wegmans, and their pastry aisle usually cheers me up, but not this time. I didn't even get things for dinner ! I got Greek yogurt, oatmeal and left... And I
DeleteMight have accidentally purchased a bag of kale!
.48¢ shoes at Ross. My sister found them, she had an eye for those things! She got me sneakers there once for $10!
I hope you're feeling better soon and I really hope that the heel pain will leave you - so annoying especially for a runner! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ilka!
DeleteI get in a bad mood sometimes. It's usually due to fatigue. I've learned that I will feel better in a day or two and just ride it out. I think your upcoming half will definitely pick you up. I hope the issue with your heel resolves itself quickly. Also, I'm very impressed you bought 49 cents shoes! Thanks for linking, Ana!
ReplyDeleteThank you Holly ! I hope to feel better any day now !
Delete$.49 for those shoes!? What? Teach me this magic! That's such a great deal.
ReplyDeleteI've been in a bad mood for like 1.5 weeks & IDK why. Trust me, if I knew, I would find a way to snap my ass out of it. I've been trying to practice a little more self care. But so far, still in a funk.
But I'm digging that song. Definitely bouncing around in my chair at work. :)
Jessie,
DeleteMy sister is the one with her magic! She finds this things at Ross like it's nothing! She has found shoes for under $1 several times! then she sells them to consignment stores for up to 10 times what she paid for them!
I must be an end of the summer mood downer going around!
We've all been there the key is to not stay there! Focus on how great it will be to get that medal in 12 day! Your going to run a freaking half marathon!!! I do love a good deal now! I'm very frugal when it comes to shopping. Although I'm not too frugal about running shoes, we all have our weaknesses right?!!? :) Thanks for linking up with us!
