Happy Birthday Twins
Some 20+ years ago, I was in 6th grade. My mom was pregnant. We were all sure that she was having another girl. There were 4 of us, all girls and the thought of having a brother had never crossed our minds. We had plans for a little girl, we were looking for little girl clothes, picking names and toys.
Then we woke up a Wednesday Morning to find out that my mom had given birth to 2 boys! We were all speechless! 2 boys? We kept asking my grandmother, and she kept saying "Yes, 2 boys!"
We were told to go to school and we could go see our Mom and our brothers when we returned. I remember spending the entire day bragging that I had two baby brothers!
My dad picked us up at school and we walked to the hospital to see my mom, and the boys. They were so tiny! They didn't have names yet, because we had not thought of names for boys, so for about 3 days, we called them Boy #1 and Boy #2.
My brothers are twins, identical twins. Most people can't tell them apart. At our house we can. Boy #1 is the youngest, and he has a more round face. Boy #2 is the oldest and he has higher cheek bones and freckles.
They have head-butted me in the face more times than I can count, I blame them for the little bump on the bridge of my nose.
Everybody says that brother #2 and I are almost identical and that if I shaved my head I would look like him.
I took them to see a rated R movie when they were 12. Movie Ratings don't mean much in Mexico. They bragged to all their friends in school.
My brothers are awesome, and I am so lucky to have them in my life! I love those boys.... who are now men.
